KRS Consulting Group is an international company that consists of a Senior Leadership Team, shareholders and 50+ Consultants.

Our leadership team comprises individuals who have diverse but complementary skills and substantial collective experience and background in the beauty industry. As a team and as individuals, we dedicate ourselves to enabling and supporting KRS consultants to deliver exemplary service and create value for our clients.



Executive Board
   
Randy Kunkel, Chairman
Randy Kunkel has over 30 years experience as a stylist, manager and multiple salon owner. Randy, along with his wife Sharon, founded KRS Consulting Group in 1993 to focus on issues related specifically to salon management and ownership.

Fourteen years later Randy is leading a team of nearly 50 KRS consultants along the front lines of innovative salon training and development. Hundreds of salons, spas and cosmetology schools have experienced utterly astounding improvement in sales, profits and teamwork thanks to Randy's guidance.

They are a testament to his expertise and desire to help others succeed. From complex ownership issues to the front desk, Randy has not only seen it all, he's helped others overcome it all.
 

Dave Kirby, President & Chief Executive Officer

Since entering the salon industry in 1983, Dave has worn the hats of stylist, manager, business owner, educator and salon management consultant. He was an educator and consultant with Michael Cole's Salon Development Corporation for five years.

Dave joined KRS Consulting Group in 2002 and was named the company's "Consultant of the Year" in 2003.

Dave is now the President and CEO of KRS.
 
Sharon Kunkel, Vice President of Sales
The co-founder of KRS Consulting, Sharon is the behind the scenes traffic controller. She is head of all operations and internal business within KRS Consulting.

Leadership Team
   
Heather Bagby
Heather is a KRS consultant, salon and cosmetology school owner. Heather's enthusiasm and passion for organizational development is instrumental in leading salons to consistently deliver management solutions that drive growth and achieve organizational effectiveness.

Prior to joining KRS, Heather was an Association Executive with SmithBucklin Corporation, the world's largest association management firm serving as the Executive Director of the Orthopedic Nursing Certification Board (ONCB), Executive Director of The Southern Thoracic Surgical Association, Operations Manager for the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses (SGNA), and Program Manager for the Society for Information Management (SIM).

Heather is a graduate of Auburn University with degrees in public relations and journalism and holds a certificate in association management from DePaul University.
   
Kimberli Bennett
Having grown up in the salon industry, Kimberli Bennett understands all aspects of owning a salon company. Kimberli became a hairstylist in 1987 and joined her family as the third generation in the salon companies that they owned in Indiana.

In February of 2002, Kimberli stepped out from behind the chair and joined KRS Consulting as a full time consultant.

She is one of the owners of KRS Consulting as well as one of the Leaders on the KRS Leadership team. She now takes part in growing consultants as well as salon professionals.

Kimberli feels a great deal of pride toward the salon professionals she has had the opportunity to grow through KRS systems. Her biggest accomplishment is knowing she has had a part in growing service providers as well as salon owners and that through their willingness to grow they now experience more choices in life and bigger opportunities.
   
Jane Salsbery-Gibson
Jane Salsbery-Gibson is a shareholder and senior consultant with KRS and has been with the company for ten years. Her background as a stylist and salon owner for over thirty years gives her a strong understanding of the beauty industry.

The KRS systems have been in place for over twelve years at her salon spa and has enabled her company to grow over 400%. Her association with KRS, knowledge of the systems and passion for the industry have allowed her to coach and mentor over one hundred salon owners and over two thousand service providers over the past ten years.

In her leadership role at KRS, Jane's wisdom and knowledge is now used to coach, mentor, and train her fellow consultants. Jane's motivation is not only to keep the independent salon alive and profitable, but to raise the income level and image of service providers throughout the beauty industry.
 
Mary Clare Lokken
Mary Lokken loves to teach!

Teaching has been her life: first as a high school teacher, then as a teacher in her family's cosmetology school, and now as a teacher of new owners of TSPA schools.

After 25 years in education and a lifetime in her family's beauty business, Mary still loves to show people how to grow as leaders and how to grow the next generation of salon professionals.
   
Sharon Meier
Sharon Meier, 2005 KRS Consultant of the Year and KRS Shareholder, put in her time as a stylist for 25 years. For ten of those years, she was a performing artist with Redken NYC.

Throughout out the years, Sharon has also owned a salon, rented a booth, worked for someone else and in her last position, managed a 4000-square-foot day spa for the Orlando Magic workout facility. It was there that she found KRS and implemented the Summit system.

The subsequent success inspired her to join the KRS team as a consultant, where she has been helping other salons realize their dreams for the past 2 years.
   
Gavin Salsbery
Gavin Salsbery grew up in the salon and spa industry in Indiana. After graduating from Indiana University, Gavin moved to California to work for the world's first internet broadcast company, loadmedia, in Hollywood. Following his stint in California, Gavin moved back to Indiana to write and produce cable television commercials throughout the midwest for Insight Communications. It wasn't long before he got back into the salon industry and began consulting for KRS in 2003.

His expertise in business and marketing has helped grow sales and profits for small studio salons to major multi-million dollar salons and spas. Gavin also consults salon and spa organizations on corporate organization and leadership. He is a stockholder and a leadership team member in KRS and well as a stockholder in the Summit Salon Business College. The krssummitsalon website has been his newest labor of love.

He truly loves all aspects of the salon and spa industry and will continue to focus on helping one person at a time attempt to reach the summit in the beauty industry.

Trista Clements
Trista Clements has devoted her career to coaching and mentoring salon professionals. She has a passion for teaching, and as a hairdresser herself, she understands how fears and false beliefs stand in the way of success.

Encouraging her clients to be in a constant state of improvement and to heighten their awareness has enabled Trista to help professionals raise the bar on their own accomplishments and achieve new personal bests.
   
Michael Nikolas
With over 20 years in the industry, Michael has taught beauty school, been a stylist, and a District Manager for several salons. He owned his own salon for 15 years and became a KRS Consultant after witnessing the power of the program.
