The company's mission at that time was a simple one: "to keep the independent salon alive". 1996 - First Distributor endorsement from Marshall's Supply 1997 - Company headquarters moved to Chicago 1999 - Began strategic partnership with Michael Cole & Salon Development Corp. 2001 - Company headquarters moved to Minneapolis 2002 - Additional partners join ownership group 2002 - Sister company, Summit Salon Business College is founded with Michael & Mary Cole 2005 - KRS Consulting Group receives 3 year endorsement contract with Redken 2006 - Opened Summit Salon Business Center's Tampa, Florida and Halifax, Nova Scotia Location 2007 - Re-launched the KRS Summit Salon Network as a complimentary subscription service 2009 - Summit Salon Business Center and KRS Consulting Group merge to form the world's largest salon and spa business center.
