January Study Questions:

Chapter 1: Drivers and Passengers
1.    What is the difference between being a “driver” and a “passenger” in your salon?

2.    What do you focus on when you place blame? When you take responsibility?

3.    What is one thing different you are willing to try from this chapter?

Chapter 2:  Keep the Main Thing the Main Thing
1.    The “main thing” is our purpose or priority. What is the “main thing” to you in your salon?

2.    How would staff define the “main thing”?

3.    What is one thing different you are willing to try from this chapter?

Chapter 3: Escape from Management Land
1.    Think about these three points: (1) Hire good employees, (2) Coach every member of the team to become better, and (3) De-hire the people who aren’t carrying their share of the load.

Which of these reveal your greatest strength?  Your greatest challenge?

2.    Can you identify your superstars, middle stars and falling stars? Do you consistently recognize and reward the superstars?

3.    What is one thing different you are willing to try from this chapter?
